I went to the cinema tonight to watch La La Land. I had not watched the trailer before. The only things I knew about the movie were whatever they said or showed on the Academy Awards, which I watched live between 3.30 am and 7 am.
It got six Oscars, and I am sure it deserves it. But honestly, it was boring at times. And the story itself was a bit weird with the woman thinking how her life would have been if she had stayed with the musician.
Sure, the dancing and most songs were really good and the movie was made in a good way. 🙂 But I don’t think I will get in on DVD. May be when the DVDs are lowered to cost 5-10 euros, but not as soon as it comes out. It’s a good movie, but for me it was just a good movie. I have seen many more movies that I enjoyed much more. And where I didn’t yawn…
Lots of wet snow when I walked home from the cinema.
The first snow for the season came yesterday! 😀 And a lot of it! It has continued snowing lots today too. The first picture is from last night and the rest of them are from today.
I was working in my “old” library yesterday and I took the bicycle to the market square. I left it there and took the bus to the library. When I came back to the market square in the afternoon my bike looked pretty much like the bikes in the last picture! 🙂
Lots of swans (30-40) in the little pond. They were shouting loudly and wanted to get away from the snow. I think they will start flying south soon, or where ever they go during the winter.
They are expecting +4 C on Tuesday (don’t know if that’s true yet) so this snow will probably go away soon. But it’s fun while it lasts and beautiful as well. I much rather have snow than the dull, rainy, grey November days that has been.
133 gingerbreads this year! 😀
But that is less than my sister’s, who made 142 gingerbreads… Oh well, it depends on the size of the cookies. I guess we had some bigger ones.
It was a sunny day and the snow that came last night is going to stay for Christmas! 😀 The weather people promised that so they better keep their promise!!
Last night I had to walk home from work because there was lots and lots of big wet snow flakes. I had the bicycle with me but I could not ride it home. It was too much snow on the ground.
Tomorrow I am going back to my regular work for the first time in several weeks… But the library is still closed for the customers. The libraries open on Monday next week.
All gifts wrapped and ready. 😀 Well, the cat will get a little more food, but I’ll buy that closer to Christmas.
