I was watching something on Youtube earlier today and usually I pay no attention to those annoying ads that they have before the video starts playing. But today I happened to see the trailer for the “What if” movie, starring my all time favorite actor Daniel Radcliffe! 😀
I knew it was in cinemas in other countries, but I didn’t think that Finland would get the movie too. But I checked the website for the local cinema, and yes! They are showing it in the cinema in my town too!
So, I went to the cinema today! 😀 Didn’t think I would when I woke up this morning. The movie (in Canada it is called the “F word”, F as in friends or friend zone…) started at 6 pm. It’s a romantic comedy, not something that would be my first choice if I have to choose what movie to watch. But I really liked “What if”! 😀 All the actors/actresses were great and the story too. So go see it in your local cinema! I’ll definitely get the DVD whenever it comes out on DVD.
Gold and bronze in javelin for Finland today, in the European championships!! 😀 Antti Ruuskanen got gold, Tero Pitkämäki got bronze and the third Finn (whose name I don’t remember) finished fourth! Obviously I was not able to watch the javelin because I went to the cinema. Those where the only medals Finland got in the championships…
My first owl bookmark is almost done! 🙂 A few more cross stitches and then the backstitching.
But it’s getting let. Better go to bed now.
So fun to watch Heikki Kovalainen in the Lotus car this weekend! 😀 He is doing a great job! It is not easy to jump into a team and perform so well with such a short notice. He got the call to come to Lotus on Tuesday night and he has had to learn a lot of new things in just a few days. 🙂 P8 tomorrow on the starting grid. And Valtteri Bottas P9! 😀 But I think Bottas will fall down to P11 – P14 in the GP. It’s one thing to be strong in the qualifying, a different thing to be strong in the race. And I don’t think Williams has the car yet to get some points. They only have Maldonado’s one point so far. Looking forward to the race tomorrow! 🙂 Red Bull is of course in a different league… And it’s not difficult to guess who’s gonna win tomorrow.
Finished a cross stitched bookmark while I watched the qualifying. 🙂 The bookmark shows three sheep and there’s some butterflies and pink flowers as well. Pretty cute. 🙂
Finished reading Pure, by Julianna Baggott. Very good book! Also started on the second book in the trilogy, Fuse. I hope it is just as good.
The wind is pretty strong right now. But apparently it’s getting worse. Around 6 am to 8 am it’s supposed to be the strongest winds in this area, then it will move somewhere else. The electric company has warned that the electricity might be cut off. But usually things doesn’t turn out as bad as it has been predicted in the newspapers and tabloids. But, we’ll see.
Almost midnight. The cat is snoring on my couch. He really likes the blanket that I put there, so he can rest his head on it. 😀
I don’t think there will be any more hot days this summer. It’s soon going to be autumn. I think some schools started today, at least in parts of the country.
Soon I have to pack a bag and in the evening I’ll go to my bro’s house. I have to sleep there two nights (until Wednesday) and look after the dogs. Alec and his parents are going to Stockholm tonight with the airplane. Tomorrow they will visit the zoo in Stockholm. Alec has been talking a lot lately about the monkey that he is going to see! 🙂
I think there might be a little hole on my tyre though. 😦 I noticed when I came from the library today that it seemed to be a little hole, puncture I mean. I really hope not, but I fear I have to take it to the repair shop. I don’t really have time to do that now when I am going to be away for a couple of days. But I don’t think I can take the bicycle all the way to my brother’s house with that tyre. 😦
I hate those broken glass bottles that are on the streets! They shouldn’t be allowed to sell glass bottles in stores.
I suppose I have to take my mother’s old bike tonight.
I finished cross stitching a bookmark yesterday. 🙂 It’s a free gift from the Cross Stitcher magazine, with colorful birds sitting on a branch. Very cute! 🙂
Today I wrote and posted a letter to Switzerland.
