Too warm!

It was +26 C in the shadow when I got home from work almost an hour ago. Suddenly the temperature dropped to +23 and there’s a strong wind. πŸ™‚ It’s also very cloudy, so I really, really hope there will be at least some rain. A nice thunder storm would be excellent! πŸ˜€ But I don’t think we’ll have more than a few drops.

The final of Let’s Dance tonight. I hope Markoolio will win. But I guess the other young man has a big chance of winning too. Usually my favorites don’t win that competition.

Soon the macaroni and minced meat will be ready. Great! I am very hungry!Β

Mum will be staying at my sister’s house now until sunday. My sister and her husband are on their way to Stockholm. Tomorrow they will for the second time run the Stockholm Marathon. πŸ™‚ So mum will look after the kids and the dog. I might go there tomorrow for a while.Β

Warm

Another hot day… It was at least +26 C at the market square today, maybe more at times. :/ Now it’s “only” +23 C, but it feels much warmer inside the apartment.Β

It will be difficult to get some sleep tonight because of the heat and the fact that I have a head ache. 😦 Not much, but enough.

Haven’t had any work today, but I will go to the library again tomorrow and work from 11 am to 5 pm.Β

But they have been expecting rain all weekend. 😦 Friday to Sunday. Well, in a way it’s good. It might get a bit cooler then and the nature needs some water. It’s so dry everything and dusty. I might have to take the raincoat to work, just in case. It’s not easy cycling with an umbrella.

Work

Work

I like this photo of Niki. πŸ˜€ It was taken earlier in May. He is sitting in a high chair that small kids sit in.

I worked on Monday and Tuesday this week. πŸ™‚ And the work continues today and on Friday. Nothing on Thursday.

F1 Monaco GP

Wow, that was one heck of a race! πŸ˜€ Nico Rosberg won! 30 years ago his dad, Keke Rosberg, won the Monaco GP, making Nico and Keke the first father + son pair winning in Monaco. And Nico has grown up and practically lived all his life in Monaco, so for him it must feel extra special, to win in your home town. πŸ™‚

Kimi… Poor Kimi… But he managed to get one point from the race. πŸ™‚ He suffered a punctured tyre in the end, after crashing with Perez. Kimi wasn’t too happy about it, I’m sure. Poor reporters when they have to interview Kimi after the race. Kimi is now 21 points behind Vettel, but still in second place. And Kimi has now drove 23 consecutive races scoring points. πŸ˜€ The all time record is 24 (Michael Schumacher). It was close that Perez ended that. Kimi fell down to P 16 when he had to change his tires. But the new tires helped him overtake several drivers and in the last lap he overtook Hulkenberg, which gave Kimi 1 point. πŸ™‚

I don’t know how many times Grosjean has crashed this weekend… He is not helping Lotus at all. Both drivers have to get points for the team. And Massa crashed pretty much in the exact same way as he crashed yesterday. Same place, same way. Hope he is feeling fine soon. I noticed they put some support around his neck, just for safety.

Even a red flag in Monaco… Maldonado crashed with another driver (was it a Marussia?) and damaged the wall. They had to rebuild it and that caused the red flag.

I am, by the way, happy that I flew with the helicopter early in the day. Now the wind is pretty strong… I wouldn’t have gone if the wind was this strong earlier today. The windows are shaking.

Going to write a few letters now, the rest of the evening. Will read some Inferno too later.

Helicopter ride!!

Today I did something that I will probably never in my life get another chance at doing… I was a passenger in a helicopter! πŸ˜€Β

It was a bit nervous… But AWESOME! It only took about 5-6 minutes, flying over the town. The helicopter was blue and there were room for the pilot and three passengers at a time. I sat in the front, next to the pilot, behind me sat a couple.Β

It was fun watching the town from a new perspective. I could see the whole town at once. On a soccer field tiny little “ants” were playing soccer. Boats were not more than a few centimeters at most. The houses much smaller than matchboxes.Β

I don’t know how high up we were. It didn’t seem that high. The company that owns the helicopter will visit towns all over the country this summer and today was Vasa’s turn to get a visit.

I didn’t really like when the helicopter turned, as the whole machine leaned, and there were a lot of noise, especially when you waited for your turn and the helicopter landed and took off from the ground.Β

But I am very happy that I did it. πŸ™‚ Now I can say that I have flown in a helicopter! πŸ˜€ I have been in an airplane before. Well, two planes, in the same day, flying from Prague to Helsinki and from Helsinki to Vasa. But it was in 1999 I think and I don’t remember any of it.

In an hour the dinner will be ready and then there’s the F1 in Monaco in a couple of hours. I hope it will be an interesting race today. Surely the safety car will come at least once.Β

Mini-Kimi!

Mini-Kimi!

This is why I love Lotus F1 Team! Once in awhile they have little things for the fans to do, while they wait for the GPs or the qualifying. Today they had a little Kimi guy to print, cut out and glue together. Cute! πŸ˜€ If you want your own, go to Lotus F1 Team on Facebook and print out the mini-Kimi! I enlarged mine to 140 % when I printed it out. It’s still pretty small.
